“We Want Some Lemonade”

For those of you who have visited our Facebook page, facebook.com/stuboyslemonade, the featured image has a humorous backstory.

Not too long ago we had a family get-together. In total there were about 20 of us, all related in some way or another–blood, marriage, friendship, and so on.

The menu was a typical American family gathering menu; hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, cole-slaw, sodas, and whatever else was somebody’s favorite picnic dish. All of it was outdoors.

Not too long after everyone had finished off their first hamburger, hot dog, or whatever, someone mentioned, “I want a Blue Dragon.” Well, being lemonade vendors we just happened to have a lemonade trailer built specifically for the purpose of serving lemonade–go figure.

For some reason, the trailer was essentially prepped for an event, which means we had much of the equipment staged, absent only the perishable items; fruit and ice. So we retrieved some fruit and ice, and proceeded to make the Blue Dragon (one of our specialty drinks). Tristan opened one of the serving windows for ventilation. It does get stuffy fast in that orange box without air flow.

The next thing we see is a queue in front of the open window waiting for lemonade — one of the funniest sights of the day! It was all friends and family; that’s when Casey caught the shot.
